Caine is a very handsome as you can see, what you cannot see from this image is how gentle he is. He was abandoned in a park and brought to the safety of the HVHS; sadly he was not reclaimed and this is happening all too often. When an animal is not reclaimed we cannot help but think they were intentionally abandoned, which is a crime in New York State. Vanderbilt was found wandering in Grand Central Station and rescued by a lovely gentleman commuting to Brooklyn. This darling, approximately 10 month old male kitten was named for the family who built the terminal. The rescuer contacted a local veterinarian who checked for a microchip (there was none). No one claimed this cat and the finder reached out to the HVHS for adoption. Vanderbilt has since been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/AIDS/LEUK, microchipped and ready to go home.
