This little cutie is a mixed breed approximately 14 months of age. We transferred Rocky from our partner shelter in Kentucky. He has a soft wire coat, is honey colored and considered hypo-allergenic. At first he is fearful, but food wins him over very quickly. Rocky is small probably less than 15#. He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

This sweet girl was also running stray, and we think was abandoned. She is a Labrador mix, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to start a new life. A fenced yard would be lovely!

Akira was a stray in Dutchess County, NY and the person who found this wonderful dog brought him to the HVHS. He was seen running around for at least one week before he found someone to help bring him to safety. Akira was terribly underweight, but the menu at the HVHS changed all that! This dog is now read to find someone wonderful to start a new life.

This little blonde cutie is a Yorkshire Terrier (perhaps a mix). Buddy was surrendered to the HVHS because his people could no longer care for him. Buddy is young, at the time of posting this I do not have his age in front of me, but he is less than 2 years. He has the most adorable smile and we are happy to post that he has his tail! It has not been abbreviated.

"Poodle" is just what you guessed ... a Poodle! He is apricot and this breed is hypo-allergenic. He stands perhaps 12 at the shoulder and came to the HVHS as a victim of domestic violence. His family members went to a shelter for people and Poodle came to the HVHS. Unfortunately, his family had to surrender him.

Louie is a Schnauzer which is a hypo-allergenic dog. He stands perhaps 18" at the shoulder and came to the HVHS as a victim of domestic violence. His family members went to a shelter for people and Louie came to the HVHS. Unfortunately, his family had to surrender him. Louie is 10 years of age and would make someone a wonderful companion. Could it be with you?

Gal is an Italian Mastiff (aka Corso). She is charcoal colored and makes friends quickly if you have a doggie cookie. This is a large dog greater than 100# and needs a fenced yard (no exceptions).

Shelly is a 3-legged kitten we transferred from a municipal shelter on Long Island. She is <6 months of age, spayed, FIV/AIDS/LEUK negative, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. She can be a little crabby, but if you like to share your heart with a special needs individual, this girl is for you.
