He too was surrendered to a municipal shelter in Tennessee and was scheduled for euthanasia simply because the shelter doesn't have the space. The HVHS arranged for veterinary care in Tennessee and he will be transported to NY next weekend (April 19).

She is a medium-sized dog, very sweet and gets along well with people and other dogs. Shayla was rescued from a municipal shelter in Tennessee where she could have been euthanized due to volume, which is incredibly sad. The HVHS arranged for vet care in Tennessee and transport to NY, she is due to arrive Sat., April 19th.

Baci is a 2 year old tri-color Chihuahua who was surrendered because his owner was moving. This little guy is very adaptable and drove from Long Island to our facility in Rockland as the perfect passenger; he even fell asleep on the ride (see pix please click through).
