Male German Shepherd puppy, perhaps 14 weeks of age. Rescued from a Kentucky kill shelter. This little boy has been to a specialist and it has been determined that his left eye is non-functioning, therefore, it will be surgically removed when he is old enough to be neutered (scheduled for 7-28-14). The puppy's vision in his right eye is fine. This is a sweet, friendly and very intelligent little guy. He has all age-appropriate vaccines and has been de-wormed and is a joy to be around.

Congrats to SCRUFFY .... saved from euthanasia in Kentucky and now living with his new family here in NY. This little guy is appropriately named. He is a mixed breed, weighs <10#, and the HVHS rescued him from a kill facility in Kentucky. All age appropriate veterinary care has been provided. Scruffy has arrived safe and sound and just flat out adorable.

This pair of puppies were found in a dumpster in rural Kentucky and are on their way to the HVHS this Saturday (May 17). They are approximately 4 months old, one male, one female. The local vet has taken care of them and deemed the pups healthy enough to travel. Thanks to local volunteers, these puppies have been saved. Dental development indicates they are approximately 4 months old. They weigh 10#. The vet thinks they are Daschund mixes and will <20# when full grown.

Beautiful buff-colored male, approximately 3 weeks of age and will be ready to go home in a few weeks when he is eligible for shots, etc. Until then we will care for this little guy. In the meantime, the HVHS is accepting applications to adopt this little bundle of fluff.

She weighs <40# and is generations of mixed breed so she has the best of everything: awesome disposition, gentle demeanor, sweet as can be. Spayed, up-to-date on all veterinary care, HW negative. His mom is a Maltese and dad is a Boston Terrier/Pug mix. He has a brindle smooth coat and currently weighs <6.5# and is approximately 12 weeks of age. Pharrel, Phoebe and Philip are litter mates to Phineas and Pherbie. I'm the only one with ears that stand up like my Dad's. Let the adoring public in!
