CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR LITTLE FIONA, SHE IS GOING HOME TODAY (1/14/2015). Mini Schnauzer mix puppy approximately 10 weeks of age. Rescued from Kentucky and ready to to home! A total cutie.

Both of the Poodle/Bichon Mixes were found on 12/25/14 by a resident of West Haverstraw. Both dogs showed up on his deck and they slept there. On the morning of 12/26/14 he contacted the HVHS for help. Neither dog was wearing any identification and our scanner did not find a microchip. Both dogs are females and they appear to be intact (we cannot find a spay scar, nor do we feel any indication of spay. The cream-colored dog is more frightened than the dark-coated dog, but both are friendly. CONGRATULATIONS TO LITTLE LOUIE, YOU HAVE BEEN ADOPTED! This little guy was found 12/26/14 in Haverstraw/West Haverstraw, NY. We have held him for longer than the State requires for a rightful owner to claim him; he is currently available for adoption. We think someone dumped him rather than he was stray ... how sad for any dog but for one of this size is just deplorable. Please consider adopting this little one.
