This dog was tied to our red barn on a bitter cold day in January 2024. He was tethered to a side of our barn that is not obvious and this took place sometime in the early morning hours. Fortunately, our astute staff noticed something that made her take a look and she found him emaciated and freezing. We named him "Red Barn" and since then have provided all necessary veterinary care and turned his life around. Lexi is a Pointer/Hound Mix approximately 65#. She is liver (reddish brown) and white. This is a high energy, good family dog, and Lexi prefers to be the only dog. Fenced yard absolutely necessary, no exceptions.

Clifford was found stray in Harriman State Park by a park ranger and brought to the safety of the HVHS. He was wearing a choke prong collar and dragging a leash, no one claimed him. He was not wearing ID tags and has no microchip. A few weeks have gone by and we presume no one is looking for him which is terribly sad.
