Volunteers are needed to help clean up FOXWOOD POND in the Village of Suffern. The HVHS has rescued ducks and geese entwined with fishing line and hooks. Most recently a Mallard Duck had a hook in his wing. The HVHS was able to get him to the vet and then provide the 3+ weeks of aftercare so he could heal and return to the pond. What we learned is that this pond really needs some help so the wildlife can live safely. Are you available for a few hours on Sat., Oct. 6th to help us rake and do a general clean up of the area? If so please fill out the volunteer form which can be found on our homepage. Thank you!

Available companion animals for adoption will be on site at PETCO from noon-8pm. Felines of all ages and breeds. All are FIV/AIDS/LEUK "negative" have been spayed/neutered, current on all shots. Ready to go home!!!

The Thrift Store's "Barking for Bucks" Barn and Tent sale continues today from 10am-4pm at the HVHS headquarters.

The HVHS Thrift Store will host a Lawn and Tent Sale on Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24 from 10am-4pm at its headquarters.

The Hudson Valley Humane Society is taking part in the PetSmart Charities National Adoption event on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from noon-4pm at PetSmart’s Nanuet store at 155 East Route 59. The event is proudly sponsored by Purina® Pro Plan®, Tidy Cats® and PetSmart®, and will take place in all 1,172 PetSmart® stores in the United States and Canada.

The Hudson Valley Humane Society announced today the establishment of a Thrift Store on its premises at 200 Quaker Road in Pomona. Its grand opening will take place Saturday and Sunday, September 24th and 25th from 10-4pm combined with the annual “Lawn Sale”.
