Pomona, NY:  The Hudson Valley Humane Society announced today the establishment of a Thrift Store on its premises at 200 Quaker Road in Pomona.  Its grand opening will take place Saturday and Sunday, September 24th and 25th from 10-4pm combined with the annual “Lawn Sale”.   Items for sale include an extensive assortment of ladies, men’s and children’s clothing and shoes (many with designer labels), household items, handbags, artwork, toys, furniture, jewelry, books, electronics and much more.

The Thrift Store will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 10-3pm and staffed entirely by volunteers.  Renovations to the Thrift Store spanned 9 months and the majority of the time, labor and materials were donated.  Proceeds from Thrift Store sales are dedicated to the care and maintenance of the animals at the HVHS.
